I just opened our DVR to watch last night's...
Now, I also watch Saved By the Bell in the morning when I work from home, but that is irrelevant.
He is definitely going to get made fun of for this.
I have a midterm tomorrow that I have not started...
This actually DOES make me feel better and it’s advice that I’ve heard before and KNOW is completely true.
Except the little teacher’s pet/star student in me can’t help but be disappointed in myself when I see anything less than an A.
So conflicted!

what I wish someone had told me while I was in grad school:
to not care about grades so much. to take it more...
I have a midterm tomorrow that I have not started...
Somewhere, in the seven weeks that have lapsed since the beginning of the semester, I stopped caring.
The sad part is that I know I will care deeply when I don’t get an A in the class and will be kicking myself later for writing this post and not studying.
Our photographer has already uploaded 800+ photos...
I LOVE THEM. LOVE! THEM!
We haven’t gotten the DVD of the high-res images, but as soon as we do…
…your dashboard will be bombed.
You’ve been warned!
Um, we have our engagement photo shoot tomorrow...
Preparation FAIL.
HOMEMADE PUMPKIN BREAD = YUM
I just ate a homemade pumpkin muffin with chocolate chips that I made this weekend and my only regret is that I only brought one to work with me today.
meredithnyc:
Homemade pumpkin bread WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS is even better. Omg.
(Today was supposed to be my “no baked goods day,” but apparently my coworkers didn’t get the memo.)
When I go to Afghanistan in November, I am going to miss three weeks of class (i.e. three sessions of three different classes).
One of the classes is more like a thesis project and will be no problem to miss.
The other two classes are both large (40+ people) where the professor does not know anyone’s names (including mine) and the format is lecture style (very little hand-raising or...
I am supposed to be going back to Afghanistan this...
Except the Afghan government just announced another presidential election to be held on the 7th. Back in August, the presidential elections brought increased violence to Afghanistan, especially in Kabul, and our office issued a lockdown because it was dangerous for even local staff to travel around the city.
This is the first time I have actually been nervous to travel there. Thankfully, I...
I have decided that I'm going to take Mark to the...
I have never been to an NHL game and I’ve never been to MSG either, so I need some Tumblr assistance!
What are good seats for a hockey game? For MSG? How much is a reasonable price to pay? Is Stub Hub the best place to buy tickets? Do we want to be above center ice or above one of the goals?
I think I might be rubbing off on him
Text from Mark (after doctor appointment): No pneumonia, still may be contagious with flu virus. I feel much better today though. Love you!
Response text from me: Good! Glad you're feeling better! xoxo
Text from Mark: xoxo Gossip Girl
Response text from me: GAHAHAHAHHAHA! That is going on Tumblr!

emphasisadded:
Hello beautifuls,

Is it strange that I am really excited to get my...
Things I Do Not Love:
Coming into Manhattan on my work-from-home day.
Thermometers that read anything lower than 50 degrees.
Precipitation. Of any sort.
Looking forward to a weekend of relaxation then realizing it will be filled with school assignments.
Reviewing a school assignment and not even comprehending the question.
Baby, it’s snowing!
– A text message from Mark (in Connecticut) from 2 minutes ago.
And with that I will go DIE until next May.
The kid's name is FALCON?!?
I just watched this family on Wife Swap on Tuesday night and Mark and I couldn’t get over what a WHACK JOB the father was! The family chases storms for fun and the children sleep in their clothes so when their parents wake them in the middle of the night to hop in the car and drive into the eye of a tornado, they are ready to go.
The dad in this family is a serious nut case with immaturity...
Oh, Facebook.
One of my little sister’s friends from growing up just friended me on Facebook and because she’s a sweet girl whom I used to babysit, I accepted her request. And now she’s writing messages on my wall asking how I’ve been.
Well, let’s see. A lot has happened since I last saw you in 1997. Where shall I begin?
I really don’t like Facebook. The only reason I...
I envy people who go to the office in the morning, work for eight or ten or even twelve hours, commute home for less than an hour and spend the evening with no more responsibilities, watching bad television or going to the gym or cooking a nice healthy meal.
Not me. I get up before 6am every day, commute two hours to my job (which I thankfully love), spend eight plus hours working, attend class...
Mark and I have been engaged for about two and a...
We know when and where we will be saying “I do”, we know who’s going to be cooking our dinner that night, who’s going to be picking out and arranging fresh flowers, who’s going to be our personal paparazzi for the night, who’s going to be keeping our family and friends on the dance floor, where our guests will be crashing after the party (and the after-party!) and we, actually I, know what I will...
