Things I Love and My Corresponding Current Favorite (Non-Tumblr) Blogs:
(Phew, what a title!)
Fashion: J’s Everday Fashion. J gathers outfit inspiration from magazines and around the web then recreates the look using pieces from her own wardrobe (which are largely items from stores you and I shop at - Express, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, J. Crew, etc).
Why I Read: She looks cute basically every day and makes me wish I had a reason to put together a real outfit more than once a week.
Fitness: The Fitnessista. Gina is a group fitness instructor and sets an amazing example of healthy living by posting new workouts and recipe ideas twice a day, as well as anecdotes about her daily life.
Why I Read: She seems like a genuinely nice person and I like her workouts. Also, she eats very cleanly but isn’t holier-than-thou about it in the least.
Food: Annie’s Eats. I don’t know how this doctor and mother of two has time for cooking/baking but she does and her recipes are perfect.
Why I Read: Literally every recipe I have made from this blog has been outstanding. I particularly love her double chocolate cookies, pizza dough and chicken with artichokes and mushrooms.
Funny: Stuff Expat Aid Workers Like
Why I Read: Everyone needs a comical blog to round out their reader and if you’re familiar with traveling to developing countries or working for NGOs, then you will love this blog. I realize this is not many of you.
Interior Design: House of Turquoise, 6th Street Design School, and Viva Full House
Why I Read: Lots of pretty pictures and inspiration for DIY projects and decorating a future abode that is not a rented apartment.
You’re welcome.
Now, does anyone have any other great non-Tumblr blogs to recommend?
