Last week I turned 28! I spent my day shopping and eating burgers (a tradition!) and my evening at Locanda Verde with friends and family.
When I turned 27 last year, I made a list of thirty things I want to do before I turn 30 years old and since my birthday falls so close to the New Year, the list doubles as my resolutions.
Here is the list as of 1/1/12:
Buy a house
Add a little one to our family
Visit 5 new countries (Mali, Senegal, Haiti, Ethiopia, 2011 — need one more)
Run a marathon
Be a vegetarian for a month
Make one of my many business ideas finally come to fruition
Be a vegan for a week
Try snowboarding
Host a big family holiday (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc) (Christmas ‘11)
Learn another language
Drive across the country
Play a team sport
Fly first class
Ride a horse on the beach
Learn how to sail
Perfect a very fancy and impressive dessert
Consistently volunteer with a nonprofit
Read 50 books in a year
Get my hair cut short (chin length?), just for kicks
Spend a week with no internet
Sew something and actually use it (Union Jack pillow, 5/15/11)
Pay off debt (Paid in full!, 9/1/11)
Perfect a solid headstand in yoga
Improve my photography skills to better capture my travels
Summit the other four 5000+ foot peaks in New Hampshire’s White Mountains
Summit Mount Washington in winter
Attend a Patriots playoff game at Foxborough
Learn how to make a perfect martini
Complete a 30 day yoga challenge
Foster a shelter dog
Here’s to a fulfilling, giving, loving, healthy 2012!

About

Avatar I live in Virginia but I don’t stay put for very long. I’m a nonprofit worker extraordinaire, and I love to climb mountains and travel to places no one else wants to go.

I love to cook and bake and drink prosecco, and run and practice yoga. I love beautiful home interior design and a good bargain.

I have a quirky little beagle/bassett/dalmatian named Ralphie and a fantastic, adventurous husband named Mark.
