This picture symbolizes everything we love about the holidays: warmth, sweetness, decadence, indulgence.
This picture also symbolizes: everything that is currently making me nauseous because I completely overdid it for three weeks straight.
Not everything I inhaled was completely unhealthy (Brussel sprouts with Christmas dinner! A handful of salads!) but there was just SO. MUCH. FOOD. We’d stuff our faces with deliciousness, barely have time to digest it before yet another celebratory meal was consumed!
As soon as we got back to Virginia, I swore off eating out indefinitely, loaded up the fridge with fresh foods and basically just scoured Stephanie’s blog for recipes she’s already tried (Whole internet is too big. I am too lazy).
On the menu:
Chicken taco bowls (I made these last night and HOLY CRAP. How are these so simple yet so delicious?!)
Mushroom bourguignon (Tonight!)
Fennel and sausage risotto
Buffalo chicken meatballs
No more baking. Ever. Ever ever ever.

About

Avatar I live in Virginia but I don’t stay put for very long. I’m a nonprofit worker extraordinaire, and I love to climb mountains and travel to places no one else wants to go.

I love to cook and bake and drink prosecco, and run and practice yoga. I love beautiful home interior design and a good bargain.

I have a quirky little beagle/bassett/dalmatian named Ralphie and a fantastic, adventurous husband named Mark.
