February 14: Heart
Forgive me for getting a little creative with my interpretation of these daily photos, but it’s Valentine’s Day and the obvious post would be something witty slash sappy about my husband. Yes, he’s awesome but I’ve been there, done that, so instead I’m giving you a photo of some little people with very big hearts.
My friends in Malawi. They may not have shoes for their feet but they always have smiles for their faces because this organization is helping break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations in their village and around the world!
As for my Valentine’s Day, we plan on celebrating tonight with a bottle of Veuve and homemade gyros. A bizarre combination indeed, but we have lots to celebrate and what better way than with a bottle of fancy champagne and some Greek street food.
[Only 20 more days left in my 26*$26=26% marathon challenge! Thanks to 8 fantastic people, I only need EIGHTEEN more $26+ gifts! Please visit my website and make a tax-deductible donation today! Do you really need $26 worth of clearance chocolates tomorrow? I didn’t think so.]
