Our summer calendar is jam-packed with overnight guests, nearly a full month this summer (not consecutively, thank goodness)! I love hosting so this gives me a perfect excuse to transform my green-with-envy seasickness guest room into a beautiful, comfortable spot for our friends and family.
The walls are currently a completely unflattering shade of mint and we’re going to keep the current bedding (for now?) so the transformation of this room is really going to be in the wall colors.
White? Maybe too plain. Green? No. Orange? Now, it’s opposite green on the color wheel, meaning it’s a complementary color. Perhaps a very light orange could be pretty.
What about light orange with a white accent wall? It’s a relatively small space with only one window and dark furniture so my main concern is keeping it light and fresh.
Shower me with your thoughts, friends!
(The actual color of the duvet is like this.)

its hard - try playing around with the valspar virtual painter… I would stay away from orange for any more than an accent wall - it always seems to be too much in the end… Maybe a medium grey with an orange accent?

i think light orange would be regretted later. how about a slate grey? you could do a lot with that backdrop.

the only question i have is how much natual light does it get? i had an orange room once and it got morning sun and it GLOWED, like you COULD NOT SLEEP once the sun was up. just something to consider
