As you may know, I work for an NGO that does education-related projects in developing countries so as a part of my trip, I visited several schools in rural Malawi.
Seeing the joy and the contagious smiles on these kids’ faces as they begin to learn how to read and write in their new schools is priceless and probably the best part of my job. Education and knowledge is everything to these children who have so very little.
These kids absolutely LOVED the camera and cheered everytime the flash went off and I showed them their picture.
I live in Virginia but I don’t stay put for very long. I’m a nonprofit worker extraordinaire, and I love to climb mountains and travel to places no one else wants to go.
