Part of our education projects include constructing schools, and the entire community pitches in to help. These villagers make every brick by hand and were very excited to show me their mastered technique to make these window cinderblocks. It takes ten minutes to make each block and by the time I’d left they had a long line of them drying in the sun.
I couldn’t help but look at the man’s shoes next to the tarp. I wish I could do more for these people.

About

Avatar I live in Virginia but I don’t stay put for very long. I’m a nonprofit worker extraordinaire, and I love to climb mountains and travel to places no one else wants to go.

I love to cook and bake and drink prosecco, and run and practice yoga. I love beautiful home interior design and a good bargain.

I have a quirky little beagle/bassett/dalmatian named Ralphie and a fantastic, adventurous husband named Mark.
